Blood campaign exceeded expectations
The 3rd edition of the INDELAGUE – ROXO LIGHTING blood collection, entitled “Donate blood. Every drop counts!”, exceeded expectations and reached the mark of 40 donors. The action took place on 19 January, at the premises of the company located in the civil parish of Trofa, Águeda.
Taking into account the decrease in blood reserves, Indelague – Indústria Eléctrica de Águeda, S.A. invited their employees and the local community to join this cause. This initiative aimed to raise awareness and mobilize the entire population to donate blood.
One of the reasons for this reduction in the number of voluntary donors is the end-of-year festivities, but also the fact that many people are ill, with covid-19 or flu.
Because each drop is an attitude of hope and donation can save lives this campaign seeks to show the importance of blood donation and thereby encourage and sensitize more people to be regular donors.
