Traditional St John's dishes were served

The St John’s festivities are a very popular tradition in Portugal, especially in Porto, where 24 June is a local holiday.

At Indelague, we didn’t let this occasion pass us by and organised a St. John’s party for our employees on Friday 23rd. It was a moment of joy, conviviality and fun, with lots of music, sardines, cornbread and fêveras, hammers and decorations to match the festivities.

The sardines and fêveras were barbecued and served with cornbread and a salad of peppers and tomatoes, all washed down with good wine and beer. There was also plenty of typical sweets to sweeten the mouth.

The martelinhos are small plastic hammers used to hit other people over the head in an innocent game.
The decorations included colourful flags, paper balloons and basil trees.

Music enlivened the party with typical seasonal rhythms, such as marches and popular dance music. The employees welcomed the celebration. It’s important to continue these kinds of festivities in order to maintain enthusiasm and ensure that everyone has a good time.

It was a very nice and fun party, which showed the unity and joy of our team.
We would like to thank everyone who took part and contributed to the success of the event.
We hope to do it again next year!
