The new line covers an area of 6,000 m2 and has an annual production capacity of 100,000 units. Bosch has invested 12 million euros in this project, which has created around 50 additional new jobs and will start operations in the first half of 2023.
The new production line in Aveiro is dedicated to the manufacture of air-to-water heat pumps, which are devices that heat and cool rooms and water using air energy, a renewable and free source.
Air-to-water heat pumps are devices that capture thermal energy from the outside air and transfer it to the inside of buildings or to domestic hot water, providing thermal comfort and reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
